If you have a passion for music—past or present, pop or classical – and want to turn that passion into a career, take the next step with SIC!

Why SIC?

SIC offers a diverse music program with classroom study, group and private lessons, and many musical performance opportunities each year. You can participate in the Concert Choir or Community Chorus, which host a performance each semester. Play in the pit orchestra or sing onstage for a number of musical theatre productions, perform in recital and occasionally acquire a paid performance opportunity.

SIC’s small size offers you a hands-on experience that is not available in many larger institutions, giving you a stronger foundation for moving on to the next level of music education or practice, while saving a lot of money on your first two years of basic music education.

No audition is required for acceptance into the Music program. Ask us about talent scholarships.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the median hourly wage for musicians and singers was $28.15 per hour in 2018. The median annual wage for music directors and composers was $49,630 in 2018.
