Theatre Productions
Southeastern Illinois College has a long history of theatrical performances, since long before the George T. Dennis Visual & Performing Arts Center Theatre was built in 1996. Now the 450-seat theatre hosts four major SIC productions a year, music concerts, Cultural Arts Series shows, Jr. Falcon Productions’ summer children’s shows, plus regional high school productions, local events and more.

Bright Star - Feb. 12 at 7 p.m. and Feb. 13 at 2 p.m.
SIC Theatre presents “Bright Star”! Music, book, and story by Steve Martin and Edie Brickell. Presented through a special arrangement with Theatrical Rights Worldwide. Bright Star is the story of one woman at two different points in her life: the first, when she is a wild young thing growing up barefoot and carefree in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina; the second, when she is a well-to-do magazine editor in Asheville, 22 years later. Her story is inevitably woven with that of an idealistic young man named Billy, with whom she shares a mysterious connection.
Cinderella - April 22 and 23 at 7 p.m. and April 24 at 2 p.m.
Tickets for Bright Star and Cinderella are $10 for adults and $8 for students, staff and seniors. Shows are held in the SIC Theatre.
